The Book Club meets once a month alternating between the first Tuesday evening and the first Wednesday afternoon.
The club has about 20 members. In June, members send in suggestions of books for the next year, and we meet for lunch and vote on our choices. We usually have a selection of both fiction and non-fiction books. For instance last year we chose “The Samurai’s Garden” by Gail Tsukiyama and Thomas King’s “The Inconvenient Indian”. We try to borrow the books from the library, but some members order titles from Amazon or the local bookstore.
Members are encouraged to contribute either by leading a book discussion or hosting a meeting in their home.
