Speaker Alison Wood, Executive Director of Ocean Ambassadors Canada. Benediction Lutheran Church, 56th St and 6th Ave., Tsawwassen Alison Wood is one of the Founders of Ocean Ambassadors Canada. She will speak about the state of our local waters and how we can best help to restore and protect them. A quote from Alison. " The inspiration for Ocean Ambassadors came while on my SUP (stand-up paddleboard) in Deep Cove. The incredible beauty of the ocean was regularly contrasted with garbage floating in the water. We need to inspire people to protect our oceans, and to do what we need to get people to the beach and onto the water to experience its magic." |
